I recommend the tour through the opera - goes for about 45 minutes - thus doable. It's quite interesting to see the backstage area which is three times as large as the opera guest area...

Really good (HUGE) schnitzel & wine. Our waiter was super friendly...no complaints about the service at all. I would recommend reservations for dinner...the line was halfway down the block.
The bread overall is good, but not the best in Vienna. Baguette is excellent, other white bread not special at all. Avoid brioche ("Mürbes Kipferl" et.al.), it's bad and very expensive.
