Aron Hegyi: Newly opened coffee shop serving counter culture coffee. Hipster-ish, portender of specialty coffee in New Orleans? By the guy who owns the Saint Hotel.

Aron Hegyi: An old school creole/Cajun restaurant—checkered tablecloths, etc. Been around for 110 years because it's just that good. - Chef John Besh (crab bisque, crawfish bisque, crabmeat au gratin)
Aron Hegyi: My favorite place in Nola, just opened in summer 2013. Get the peas n rice, crispy rum ribs and butter poached Louisiana shrimp (at a a minimum), and sample many 'proto-tiki' cocktails
Aron Hegyi: Open 24 hours. Went here at 5am before a flight. Beautiful, silent, ate in the dark in the gazebo, cafe au lait and beignets better than Du Monde, in my opinion.
Aron Hegyi: Had shrimp and grits at their airport location. Great quality grits, and good flavor from the chargrilled shrimp. I believe they source directly from their own farm.
Eater: Amazing fried chicken, often called the best in town. The food and atmosphere are quintessential New Orleans, among the best you’ll find in town. [Eater 38 Member]
Eater: A meat-centric spot chef Isaac Toups and his wife Amanda. House-cured meat and house-made sausages (plus other non-meat options). Oh, and they have insanely good Doberge cake. [Eater 38 Member]
Lucky Magazine: The boutique-scape is moving in an eco-conscious direction, and this tasteful homewares shop sits in the center of the action. Reclaimed wood stereos and sustainably sourced pendant lamps stand out.

Nick Glassman: The greatest Magazine poboy. You have to gave the grilled shrimp, fried green tomatoes, and roumelade poboy. It is a religious experience.
Lucky Magazine: At first glance, this jam-packed outlet looks overwhelming, but digging unearths treasures like Chloé shirts for $150 and Marni dresses for (a shocking) $200.
