Fairly good experience. Ribeye was tasty. Blue cheese tater tots were good but a bit heavy. Popovers were amazing. Only quibble was that steaks came out a little too fast.

The classy, romantic ambiance and perfectly plated life changing dishes makes getting a reservation a bit challenging. However, the famous truffle chicken for two is simply a must for NYC diners.
I wish food tasted as beautifully as it was displayed. Atmosphere is like a grand hotel lobby/cigar lounge. Luv waiters look of tight grey sweaters and ties
For lunch The sublime cauliflower soup makes a delectable starter and you won't go wrong with the Oyster Po boy.
Old school waiters in tuxedos serve delicious steak in a small and unique atmosphere. You must have the potato pancakes.
Don't let the "lunch" in the name fool you. Friedman's also serves dinner & brunch on the w/e. A solid gluten-free resto. Some of my favorites: shaved brussel sprouts w/ honey & parmesan & the BLAT.
All we can say is that we're still dreaming about the brisket tots - we highly recommend ordering your own and not sharing. As a main, definitely order the duck breast - the seasoning is perfect!
